For years ho wns watormastor for tho Logan Lo-gan and IUchmond canal, and served Lognn ns city; pollconinn under Al-vln Al-vln Crockett as marshal. Ho was n member of the Lognn City council during tho years 1892-91. Two sons nnd two dnughtors sur vivo him. They aro James H. nnd Joseph M., Mrs. George B. Crockett and Mrs. K. C. Schnub. Thirty-two grandchildren and threo great grand children also survive him. Tho remains may be vlowcd at tho residence of K. C.
