Tho chief means of Inducing thrift aro tho ordinary savings banks, which number about two hundred, with nearly throe million depositors, whoso deposits total 600 million dollars, dol-lars, and the-post office savings banks with an average of six million depositors, depos-itors, whose savings amount to 450 million dollars.
