Mothers are busy fitting up their little ones for school; fathers are hustling for their shoes, and bread and butter; the children chil-dren nnd teachers are looking forward, for-ward, some with Joy and somq with dread, for the opening of school, and so the different seasons continue to return bringing back their same Interests In-terests that nre equally new every year. The following teachers aro engaged at the high school: Miss Ure, of Salt Lnke, teacher of domestic science. Miss Urc Is located with Mrs. Mario Merrill. Professor Anderson, located at Mrs. Sophia Merrill's. Professor Holmgrou at the llurnham home, tied Professor Peterson tit Mrs. Lucy Merrill. Mer-rill. Henry Plant will again teach at I the high school. j Mr. Drown, principal of the district school, will rent tho house of .Mrs. Allco Uuckston for tho winter. Tho concert given under the auspices auspic-es of tho Y L. M. I. A. Inst Friday Fri-day evening wns well attended nnd much appreciated by nil present. The. Instrumental selections by Harris Drothers nnd Mrs. Harris, were certainly cer-tainly a treat. Tho piano solo by Mr. Peterson was very flno and showed up to great advantage. Mr. Olson and Hanson Drothers vocal as well as instrumental selections wero great nnd wo Just wished we could enjoy them a little oftcner. Our home talent tal-ent did exceptionally well. As ever, Mr. ,Omer'8 cornet selections were highly appreciated, and the chorus girls wero not encored Just to jiass the time away. Had tho recitals by Lenora Morrill and Aldlno Durnham boon n contest, surely they would both have taken tho first prlzo. Pres Itlcnt Lucy Merrill was very appreciative appreci-ative of tho good trunout. Tho proceeds pro-ceeds go towards tho first fiayment of tho now piano. Mrs. James I. Shopard and family returnod Inst Thursday from Doith, Nevada, whero thoy have been living on their lnrgo farm during tho summer. sum-mer. Thoy hnvo moved Into tho homo of Mrs. Mary Hendricks. Mr. nnd Mrs. Parley Merrill of Trenton took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Shepafd last Sundny. Miss Dullock of Providence has organized or-ganized a painting class here consisting consist-ing of about fifteen members. Hp work is principally painting of sofa pillow covers and somo very nice work Is being dono along this lino. Miss Dullock puts up at tho Richmond Rich-mond Hotel when In town. Mr. nnd Mrs. Jack Evans of Og-den Og-den spont n part of last week with Mrs. Evans' sister, Mrs. Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sbepard have moved Into the Traveller home on Main street. Mr. Gilbert Bright has returned from Star Valley whero ho has beet visiting a month with his daughter Aunio Erlckson.
