Tho children, grand children nnd a few very near relatives of the honored couple, assembled assem-bled at tho old home at high noon, and the sport immediately commenced. commenc-ed. The house was tastefully decorated decor-ated with gold hnd white, tho tables were centered with large vapes of pink and white roses and carnations with ferns giving one the idea of winter In the tropics. At one o'clock p. m. Uio entire assemblage were seated nt tables which were groaning under their loads of tho good Uilngs to eat fru'ts f all kinds, together with every kind of dish known to tho modern cook, was Included In some of tho several courses. While tho Participants wero yet enjoying Uio feast. J. J. Meikle, (tho oldest son) In, behalf of the sons and daughters, with a brief but effectlvo speech, presented pre-sented each of tho couples with an elegant gold r'ng. Tho father responded respon-ded In a feeling manner, showing his appreciation In a way that no ono could mistake. Meikle of Cache Idaho was toastmaster and Immedle alely after the banquet a program was rendered consisting of music, both Instrumental and vocal with recitations, re-citations, readings, and speeches, which furnished amusement until a late hour.
