Show STRIPED SILK AND COLORED WOOL Thero Is a fancy for combining silks of striped or plalded pattern with worsted and mohair mixture which Paris especially favors for spring wear. Bernard has Just brought out a Bprlxig tallleur which is more than a little suggestive of the Directolre type on which it seemed that every possible change had been run a sea son or two ago. This Bernard model has a long tailed coat of slate, colored mohair and worsted weave over a very narrow, slightly draped skirt of Egyptian cropo In a Roman striped pattern. Tho stripes are subdued In tone rather than vivid or gay and show dull blues, terra cottw and green on a slato gray ground. An Incroy-able Incroy-able collar and wldo rovers of the striped silk ornament the long tailed coat which has a graceful straight line at tho back and Is rather full and loose at tho front where It fastens fas-tens just below tho bust, a waistcoat of tho striped silk showing In the cutaway cut-away opening. Another model by Drecoll recently sent over for a bride of lato April, has a very short, rippled coat of green and blafck Btrlped pussy willow taffeta nbovo'a skirt of block cloth on which are threo ripple tunics, the lowest tunic falling Just short of tho knee. Still another silk and cloth combination combin-ation is evidenced In a tulllour by Weeks, which has a belted coat of kismet tartan In a bold check design In fawn color and green and a narrow nar-row skirt of tho tnrtan short enough to show buttoned-walking boots with tops of fawn cloth . Uetwcon coat and skirt falls a ripple tunic of ijrcen cloth, and tho bolt over tho checker coat Is of green leather. A llaro collar col-lar of thin whlto st'aiched lawn, hemstitched hem-stitched in green turns back from the eolit opening and wldo cuffs to match turn back from tho long sleeves.
