Whoever said that Logan had to I hire a bunch of professional ball players to bo in the running In tho Cache Valley League? There Is only one thing that would make a fan think so and that Is that it takes nine men to make up a ball team and there are not that many showing On for nractlcn at the B. Y. C. field. i jy'lJut those that do come are showing the class. Manager Joe Jensen Is looking for a whole lot full of players by tho end of this week or tho first of '" next. There Is only eight more days unfll the first league game and that is only a very short time In which to get started. So far there is nothing definite def-inite as to what players will niako up the local club, but Manager Jon-sen Jon-sen has got something up his sleeve and has his mind full of Ideas about different players. Thursday night the first workout since the First North-Center street game was held on the field. Chester Squires was along with his big mitt and he needs no introduction. Or-val Or-val and Norman Nelson wero showing show-ing some class on the Infield. Or-val Or-val is a pitcher and plays a snappy first base as welt. Norman eats 'em up at ahort and hits like a demon. Parley Chrlstensen, who pitched tho B. Y. C. to Intercollegiate Intercol-legiate honors when college baseball was at Us beat is another fllnger who should bo out In uniform. Tho Inter-street game tho othor night uncovered un-covered somo good men, such as Har-; Har-; ry Morgan, It. D. Shaffer, Wlllard Garr. Morgan plays good in the ln- field and Shaffer In a vqtoran on the llamond. Garr wields a big stick and gets 'em In the outfield. Marshal Al- I leu Is an lntlelder of renown. John Coburn, business manager of tho club is planning to fix up tho " playing field for tho coming games. v- Tho game tho other day should bo a ' lesson to tho management and thore '" is no question but what tho who)o ', old will bo fixed up, bo that only two teams can play at one tlmo on the field Instead of having a half hun- $ drcd kids thoro as well wltli ns many arlotlos of sport.
