Show UTAH'8 THRIFT DAY. Fifty-two year ago, a band of pioneers pio-neers appeared from a canyon, and looking down upon n fair valley, the leader cried: This Is the place." In the valley he saw the fulfillment of all the dreams that ho bad had, and knew that here could be settled a thrifty people, who would bring forth K fruits from the soil, and manufacture the goods they may nevd. Utah may well date things from July 84th, and call It Pioneer Day. And It may also call It "Thrift Doy," for tho . pioneers were thrifty, saving and Industrious. In-dustrious. What we have today In Utah Is the result ot tho thrift and enterprise of the cnrly pioneers. This lesson the people of Utah are never going t forget and will continue thrifty, and especially encouraging the teaching of thrift In our public schools, and the purchasing of W. S.
