' The United States Naval Reserve Force Is an actual part'bf the United Unit-ed States Navy, created for active service In time of war. Men enrolling enroll-ing in the Naval Reserve are subject' to call for full and active naval service ser-vice when actually needed; in time Of peace,- they may continue as members mem-bers of the naval reserve or they , may resign. The naval reserve offers of-fers exceptional opportunities for advancement, ad-vancement, for, to keep pace with the great expansion, of our navy, many men, after the proper training and instruction, are commissioned as officers. According to District Enrolling Officer Of-ficer Jaffe, men with trades are being be-ing given corresponding ratings in the Naval Reserve, while practically every branch of the service is open to enrollment. Men with no trades are being enrolled in the seaman branch, or in the 'engineer's forces, with every possible opportunity for advancement. |
