Show i 7s n Agricultural College News The last regular chapel exercises of Iho year at tho Agricultural College Col-lege were given over to a musical program given under tho direction ot Prof. George W. Thatcher. The program pro-gram consisted of a number of orlgl-nnl orlgl-nnl selections composed by the students stud-ents in tho class in harmony and composition, nil of the music and most of tho words were strictly original orig-inal nnd were just finished produces of thy regular class exercises. Following Fol-lowing Is tho completo program: A Hymn, composed by Mr. C. F. llrnlthwaltc, '17, of Boston, wns sung by a mixed double quartet with the following members: Miss Patience Thatcher, Miss Margaret Worley, Ha. zel Larsen, Maggie Merrill, J. F. Wooley, Delhcrt Egbert, Arno Kirk-ham Kirk-ham and Frank Daugh Jr. Another Hymn, As the Sun Dafly Illses, composed by Virginia England, Eng-land, '19, Logan, was sung by tho same quartet. A Itomanco, a composition by Guy B. Alexander, 'IS, Logan, was glWjn by .Mr. Alexander with tho trumpet nccompaninunt by Mr. SlcUonald, Mr. Carlson and Mr. Cannon with saxophones. A Gondola Lied, composed by Miss Virginia England wns given by tho samo young lady' on the piano. Mrs. Linuartz sang. Still, Still With Mo, n composition by Miss En-Id En-Id Itosengrcen, 'IS, Logan. Miss Itos-cngreen Itos-cngreen nlso rendered two of her own selections on tho piano, Tho last number of tho program was a resitting of tho college song, Our A. C. This, will bo given mainly for those interested In libraries and those who Intend to mnnngo public or prlvnto libraries. Tho course will bo given by tho collcgo librarian, C. E. Smith a graduate of the Library School of tho University of Wisconsin nnd for tho past fourteen years prominent in Utnh library clrclos. Ono of tho most popular courses to be given at tho A. C. summer bcliool promises to be the all day courso In dressmaking. Already sev oral students havo registered and many letters concerning tho courso have been received by Jameg II, Lin-ford, Lin-ford, director of tho summer school and correspondence work. At the final meetings of the classes hold at the A. C. last Friday tho present Juniors and sophomores elect. ed officers for next year, Asnel E. ralmor of Raymond, Canada, was chosen to fill tho executive chair ot the 191? class; Jessie. Ecclea of Logan Lo-gan was elected asy vice presjdqnt, and W. A, Monson of FranUin, Ida-ho Ida-ho was made secr6ary and treasurer. The sophomores voted Sumner Hatch of Hebcr City: aa president, with La-von La-von Uennlon of Logan, as vice president. presi-dent. Each of these officers will begin be-gin their duties .as'rcioss lenders at tho beginning of nqxt years' work. Arno Klrkha'm was also elected to fill the place .of Moso Cowley as man. ager of tho college year book for next year; Mr. Cowley has been ap- ' pointed manager of Student Llfo. t |
