The purposo of the booklet is to inform the people peo-ple of Utah of the many advantages to be secured by an education obtained ob-tained at this College, and to show them -in plcturo the beautiful buildings build-ings and wonderful equipment placed nt the disposal of the students. The foreword says, In part, There has been developed in northern Utah a College of tho People. This College exists to train young men and young women to do tho work of the world. It is dedicated to the development of tho unbounded resources of the west. Its motto Is Labor Is Life, Its alms arc these: To make education demo-cnitlc, demo-cnitlc, to emphasize most those lines which give occupation to the greatest number, to educate for today and tomorrow, to-morrow, not for yesterday, to dignify all necessary pursuits. , The Utah Agricultural College op ens for Its twentysoventh year, on September 19. From tho number of Inquiries regarding courses of study being received by President E O. Peterson, it Is certntn that the coming com-ing year will bo n most successful one. Already tho buildings and the grounds are being put Into shape for the opening. |
