Tho result was that Jump, Morris offd IJurnlram were awarded special prizes by tho Hawaii Tuna Club of Honolulu for catches of tuna, and they wcro also presented with silver cups. Mr. Jump, who is a member of tho Catnllna Tuna Club won tho highest award In catching a 32 1-2 pound UnUu with light tackle March 13 nt Keoneolo, Maul. TIUb catch won tho Georgo P. Cocko silver cup offered for tho first game fish over thirty pounds taken on light tackle. Mr. Jump will bring his high power fishing boat from Catallna to Honolulu Hono-lulu next winter, and Morris will build another sampan, his first boat, the Dixie Mam, having been lost in a storm. Several of the Catallna Island fishermen, fish-ermen, who wero burned out at Av-nlo Av-nlo last winter, havo already established estab-lished themselves at Halelwa thirty miles from Honolulu with their fishing fish-ing boats and glass bottom sight seeing boats. The Hawaii Tuna Club expects a largo number of tho most prominent game fishermen lu tho United States to visit the Islands next winter. |
