Show OVER TWO YEARS AWAY FROM HOME, WRITESPARENTS Mr. and Mrs, George Z. Lamb of Hyde Park Happy to Know Their Son Is Well After two years of absence, his whereabouts unknown to his parents, par-ents, a letter was received at Hydo Park a few days ago from Lavon Lamb, the 20 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Georgo Z. Lamb which transformed tho grief and sadness of these parents Into Joy nnd hnpplncss to know there son was still living and that nil was woll with him. Dur-'ng Dur-'ng the school year of 1912 and 1013 Lavon had been attending school at the Utah Agricultural Collegge, nnd apparently was getting nlong nicely In his scliool work. On April G, 1913 ho left school, his whereabouts unknown un-known to any local person ns far as his parents knew. This sudden depnrturo has been n great worry to Mrs. Lamb, for alio could not understand why her son should so mysteriously leave, giving no word ns to where ho was going un!ess something was wrong. Sho has waited with tho father, th'nklng that somo good word would sooner or Inter bo heard that tho youth was alright and that ho would again re turn to his homo . Not many days ago, Wllllnm M. Smith of this city, learned of a letter let-ter that young Lamb wrote to a former for-mer sweetheart In this city .procured .procur-ed 'the address and gavo It to tho parents. In turn tho parents wroto 'their son nnd hnvo received n reply which makes rojo-clng fill tho homo. Lavon, soon after leaving scliool, joined tho U. S. navy nnd Is now on the battleship Chattanooga, stationed In Mexico. Ho says In his letter ho will not bo homo beforo December Ho gives os his only reason for not Informing his parents whom ho was that ho was ashamed of his nct'on ! In running away without giving any I notice to them. Ho Is feeling fine I nnd promises to keep up his corrcs-I corrcs-I pondenco and as soon as his time of enlistment Is up, ho expects to re-'turn re-'turn to tUah. |
