Show Wyoming Coal Production Output In 1914 Was Nearly 6,500,000 Tons, Valued at Over $10,000,000 "Tho finality of coal mined in Wyoming Wy-oming In 1914 was C.47G.293 short tons, valued at ?10,033,747. Tho decreaso Is attributed ma nly to a lessened demand for coal for domestic uses, by reason of tho unusually mild weather throughout tho year and to tho smaller amount required by tho railroads. Tho re sumption of shipments of coal from tho Colorado mines after tlio settlement settle-ment of tho strlko In that Stato lato In tho year, Into markets temporarily temporari-ly supplied In 1913 by Wyoming coal, accounts for a largo part of tho decreaso de-creaso In certain counties of Wyoming Wyom-ing In 1914. Thore was an abundance of labor for coal mining nnd a plentiful Bupply ot care for transportation. Wyoming tontlnues to maintain a high rocord for efficiency In the rate of production per man employed, and although there was a falling off In the average tonnage for the year, the average per man per day was the highest on record in the stato. The nvcrago tonnage per man decreased from 887 tons In 1913 to 198' tons in 1914, and tho averago for each' man, per day, Increased from 3.82 to 4.15 tons. Tho llrBt production of coal In Wyoming Wy-oming was reported In 18C5, ono year later than tho first reported output of coal in Colorado.
