Show DAUGHTERS OF PIONEERS Hold Interesting Session In Relic Hall at B. Y. C Mrs Moench Hon- ored by Members. Tho Joseph ' Smith and Wllford Woodruff Cnmps of the Daughters of the Pioneers, met together last Friday Fri-day nftornbon In their Relic Hall at tho B. Y. College .About fifty mem-hers mem-hers of tho two companies were present pres-ent to honor Mrs. R. E. Moench, tho able Instructor of both companlos. As It was tho, regular mooting day of the Josoph Smith camp, Mrs. Moench Mo-ench proceeded with tho lecturo on tho Llfo of John Taylor, which sho has been giving to that company during tho winter. This was followed by a lolln solo by Miss Nebekor, which was beautifully rendered and much appreciated. Mrs. Ruth Moench Boll favored tho a,ssombly with ono of her delightful leadings, which was thoroughly en-JoyeU en-JoyeU Mrs. McCuno of Salt Lalto, a member mem-ber of tho genoral board read an original or-iginal poom. Sho also expressed regret re-gret that she saw none of tho pins that tho Daughters of tho Ploneors havo accepted ns their badgo. Mrs. Isaac Smith mnjjo a very neat Bpeech and prosentcd Mrs. Moench with n hdndsomo brooch from tho two companies com-panies ns n token of tho esteem In which Bho is held. After a response by Miss Moench lefroshmentH wore served and a social so-cial tlmo indulgod it. Much morrlment was caused by such dignified matrons as Mesdamcs Isaac Smith, Luclan Farr, H. P. Barber, Bar-ber, John A. (McAllister, McCuno and Moench taking a rldo on an old cannon can-non which Is ono of tho relics presented pre-sented to tho companies. |
