Tho Prosldeiit , BK' has signed a proclamation lidding 111 BB 123 ncres to tho Flshlako National BR i Forest, Utah. Tho samo proclamation BB clImliiateH 1,270 ncres from tho for- BB est. Doth changes lit tho forest boun- BB dary take place In tho eastern dlvls- Ion, In Sovlcr and Wayne counties. No chango is made in tho boundary of tho westorn (Glonwood) division. Tho lands forming tho addition llo in four separate groups along the present boundary. Hy far tho largest area lies along tho cast side extending extend-ing In a narrow bolt nearly thp length of tho forest, and connecting It with tho Mantl National Forest In T. 22 8., R. 4 and fi W, S. U M, This area takes In a large amount of valuable tlmberland and will nlso aid In protecting pro-tecting the waters of Quttchupah creek. Anothor small addition lies nlong tho southern lino, and has been repeatedly petitioned for by tho resi dents of that region. Two other small additions He nlong tho west boundary. Tho area excluded consists of sections sec-tions 19 and 30, T. 21 8., R IB., 8. U M., which nro found to consist of lands unsultnblo for forost purposes. Tho unappropriated portions of tbo lands eliminated by this proclamation will bo restortd to aottloment and entry en-try after they shall havo been advertised adver-tised In tho local papers by tho Sccao-tary Sccao-tary of tho Intorlor. |
