James William Nelson, of College, received a call lor a mission on Jan. 15th, 1904, for the Southern states. He started from home on Feb. 15th, leaving leav-ing Salt Lake on the 17th of that month.. He arrived at Atlanta, Georgia on the 27th and was honorably honor-ably released on Sept. 1, 1004 owing to bad health. He reached home on the 2:ird. After a lingering Illness from consumption and typhoid ho died Nov. 22nd, 1904. Funeral services were held on Nov. 24th. Theic was a large attendance at the funeral. The speakers were John Wyatt, James Williamson, Levi Dunn, Walter Jensen, Jen-sen, Geo. O. Pitkin and Ihshop Dunn. Elder Nelson was a highly respected young man and his loss has pioved a sad blow to his friends and lelallves with whom we sympathize. |
