Show Take No Chances of Democracy. The conditions existing under the last Democratic tarllT law have been desciibed by no one better than by the president of the Ameilcan Feder ation of Labor, a Democrat, who said, on January 1, 180S, "That terrible petlod for the wage earners or t lie country which began In 18tv.l and left behind it such a avoid of horror, hunger and misery piactlcally ended with the dawn of the jear 18!i7." That was the "dawn" of another Re-publican Re-publican administration. Shall we take any chance or returning return-ing to that condition? Are the people peo-ple willing to elect a Democratic piesldent pies-ldent or a Democratic house or representatives, repre-sentatives, relying solely on the continuation con-tinuation or a Republican senate (that may at any time and rrom many dllfer-cut dllfer-cut curses become Democratic) to save the country Horn another period or "horror, hunger und misery" to American wage earners?
