A double funeral was held licic Monday, Mon-day, Mir. 13, that of Mrs. lsaacTSmlth, and Miss Chrlstcna Howman. Mrs. Smith was formerly of Falrview. From Falrview they moved to Snako Rlcr valley where they were residing at the time of her sickness. Slio was taken to the hospital at Logan and underwent an operation. The operation opera-tion proed unsuccessful and she died Friday night. She was taken to tho the undertaker's parlor and prepared for burial and was then brought to the home of her brother, J. L. Rate-man. Rate-man. Sho was laid to rest In the Richmond cemetery. She leaves a Husband and seven children to mourn i their loss. , MissClirlstcnaRowman came here I about six weeks ago to attend her mother's funeral. A few days later she was taken sick with typhoid fever from which she was a great sufferer. She died Saturday at noon, at tho residence re-sidence of her sister, Mrs. W. R. Tripp. She leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn their loss. James McNeil, J. liodily, John Eckelson and Alma Merrill talked at tho funeral service. A large cortege followed tho remains to the cemetery. We have recently been blessed with a nice little rain storm. This is very pleasing to the farmcr.especlally those who have grain planted. A Dramatic Recital was given heic Monday night. About one hundred voices took part. The proceeds went towards another payment on the school piano. |
