A Southern writer tells this story of a negro preacher's version of tne parnhle of the Oood Samaritan: There was a traveler on a lonely road, sajd the preacher, who was set upon by thieves, robbed, tnd left wounded and helpless by tho wayside As ho lay there various persons passed lilm, but none offered to assist him.
