The health of the people has been good In a general way, although we have had two cases of typhoid. Orson llailey was down but he is now o. k. Wm. Ilallcy Is still vciy low, but Improved Im-proved some recently. Edward P. Wallets and Miss Leona Maugham will be man led Wednesday (today). They are prominent )cung people and we all wish them great success and happiness In their married life. This will probably open the Christmas season about right. Prof. Walteis has organized a class in music which is now in good working work-ing order. Mr. Walters Is a thorough musician and will certainly do much good. Last week Mr. Thomas Rradshaw and Miss Phoebe Hums and Mr. Sam Riggs and Miss Annie Jones were united in marilge. There were receptions recep-tions and a glorious time at each place. The couples lecelved some nice presents. 1). M. ISiekmoie, principal of mil schools, is now engaged in working up Dickens, "Christmas Carol" and will present it Friday evening. Mr. Hick-moie Hick-moie is very much interested in the advancement of the schools. |
