Pearson, of Logan, III for several weeks, was operated on at the Budge hospital Monday evening for .appendicitis. At last reports she was rallying nlccly.a fact her many friends 'will be glad to learn. Mr. Hans Slmonscn, an elderly gentleman of the Second ward, formerly form-erly of Newton, was operated on at the Budge hospital Monday evening for the removal of an abscess at tha base of the brain.
