Show Lewiston Jubilant. Prospect of Sugar Factory going in at Once Brings Good Feeling. Lewiston, Utah, Feb. III. People here are rejoicing over recent developments develop-ments In the Lewiston Sugar factory matter. David Kccles left here yesterday after going over the ground and viewing view-ing the company's property In Lewis-ton. Lewis-ton. The site for the factory Is definitely de-finitely located about a mile and a half east of tho Lewiston town site. Mr. (rlllman, tho chief contractor of the building, Is here with one or two aids at present staking oil the grounds and surveying for the different dulld-Ings. dulld-Ings. Ho says that ho doesn't expect to do any great amount of work while this cold spell lasts but will push the work rapidly as soon as the weather will permit. Mr. Oillman expects to have charge of a hundred hands here as soon as springs opens. Hrlgham II. Telford, who keeps our boarding house, has now Mulshed tho upper story of his house which puts him In possession of four; more comfortable rooms. This will enable Mr. Telford to take care of any travelers travel-ers that may come this way. Mr. Kvans will not move Into town for some time as ho Is now renting one of the Sugar Co.'s farms and desires to be there to (I licet the work. The weather man is sending us tho usual cold weather, wltli thermometer 18 below. We received a snow storm over the 'phone from tho weather bureau on Saturday but so far It has not reached us. Possibly It was melted mel-ted in passing over Smlthlleld or some other neighboring town on tho south. Mis. Addle Telford, wife of (5. K. Telford, Is In Salt Lake and was operated upon for appendicitis this mornlngatK o'clock. Fred Taggart Is also in the city and expects to be operated upon for the same aliment before he returns home. Much sickness prevails at present but there Is no contagious disease here. |
