Show 2 City Council The city council met In regular session ses-sion on Wednesday night with all members present except two. Licenses Li-censes were granted the City Drug company and the Logan Mercantile company to conduct a wholesale and retail liquor business, respectively, for' three, months. A petition of Moses Thatcher was presented lelatlvc to the gutter on the hank corner. This was referred to commit to on streets with owcr to act. A communication from Krcd Turner was read to the eltcet that MM had been placed with the city auditor for the building of a pathway above the Deseret mills. A motion was made that the city surveyor should establish estab-lish the grade, and that the work be commenced at once under the direction direc-tion of the city supervisor, and that the $18 he n .sufficient guarantee of good faith on the part of the citizens wishing the pathway built. Additional time was given the committee com-mittee on paving District No. S to ir-port. A resolution appropriating money out of the electric light plant fund was oted on, all voting In the alllnn-atlve, alllnn-atlve, except Mr. Hatch. A resolution for an appropriation out of the funds of paving District N'os. 7 and 8 passed unanimously. All orcsent voted yea on a icsolu-tion icsolu-tion appropriating funds for sundry expenses. The reports of the auditor and treasurer were presented and referred to the committee on llnance. Tho question of having more exits to the tabernacle was discussed and was referred to a special committee to wait on President Morroll. Tho committee on license was given power to act relative to dogs on which no license Is paid. A resolution was passed authorizing work to be done on the water mains located along First Kasl and adjacent streets. |
