Show Says Mr. Mahler Will Build His Electric Elec-tric Interurban Line If the statements of It. Mahler and those heretofore connected with him are to bo accepted at their face value, the electric interurban fioin Pa) son to Logan will yet be built. Mr. Mahler Mah-ler has repeatedly made this assertion asser-tion since he was turned down by Og-den, Og-den, and nowcomesMr. I). II. Jtoborts, one of Mr. Mahler's light hand men, with a statement that Is similar. Heretofore Mr. Roberts has insisted that he had little to give out concerning concern-ing the plans of Mr. Mahler, but In an Interview Tuesday evening he expies-sed expies-sed himself in no undoubted way. When asked whether it Is really Mr. Mahler's Intention to build the road, Mr. Roberts said: "Mr. Mahler assuies me that the Electric lallroad will be built regardless regard-less of the action and attitude of Og-den Og-den city. It will bo built west of Og- den through Plahrclly, Hoopei and the line agiicultuial and fruit section nf Weber countiy instead of through Ogden as was contemplated orlgnally All of the piellminary surveys in all the cities fioin Payson on tho south to Logan on the noith weie completed on tho- lotli of this month. Work on the permanent surveys and private lights of way will soon commence and tho grading w ill followsoon thereafter. Mr. Roberts had little to say more than tlie above but It would seem that this is snlllclent. It Is hardly probable that Mr. Mahler would mislead mis-lead Mr. Roberts in the matter, and most certainly tho latter gentleman Is convinced that the former means business. The people along this proposed pro-posed loute can but slnceiely hope that there will bo no fuithcr hitch In tlie proceedings. |
