Tho cause of death was appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. The deceased was in his usual good health on Sunday, and was awakened eat ly Monday morning with a severe pain In tho abdomen. There was some amelioration of the symptoms on Wednesday but onrj for a few hours, when the inflammation increased increas-ed and finally ended in a fatal attack of general peritonitis. Just a fow years ago, the husband and father died of the same disease and the los of the eldest son fiom the same disease Is the haider to bear. He was the sunlight of the home, the genial, well-loved son and brother to whom all the members of the family gave unstinted love and praise. He was a favorite with all. an honest, up-light up-light able and hard wot king young man, enjoying the confidence of Ills employers At the time of Ills death, lie was manager of the Sidney Stevens Stev-ens Implement Co. The funeral service held in the tabernacle Monday afternoon, was attended by a very large assemblage of mourning friends The service was opened with a song bj the choir, and a duct, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" by Miss Haven and Win. Pilklngton. K. R. Miles Jr., Wm. Chadwick, of Preston, Richard N. 1IIII, of Malad. Krnest Smith, J. J. Richardson and Rlshop Woodtullall spoke of the exemplary ex-emplary life and upright character of the deceased, his sterling honesty, his faithful work in the service of the Loid while on a mission to the Southern South-ern States, and his affectionate tegaid for his parents and family. A quaitctte "I Need Thee Kvery Hour" was sung by Geo. Douglass, R. J. Hammer, Wm. Roskclly and R. T. Merrill, after which came the benediction. bene-diction.
