Show Additional Locals. Mrs. John A. Ilendrlckson, with her daughter, returned from Europe last Wednesday night. Mrs. Ilendrlckson left Logan with her husband about live months ago. During that .time the family made an extended trip through Europe, visiting all the principal prin-cipal cities, especially those of England Eng-land and Scotland and Ireland, and also ascended the Alps. Upon the earnest request of Apostle Frances M. Lyman, who Is at present the presiding presid-ing olllccr of tho European Mission, Mr. Ilendrlckson has consented to remain In Europe for at least a few months. It Is therefore possible that he will return homo before January 1st, 1004. Mis. Ilendrlckson parted with her husband at Liverpool. The shows given in tho various wards of this city by Mr. Russell hare not been patronized as well as they should haro been, everything considered. consid-ered. In the first place Mr. Russell Is a resident of this State and has met with the sad mlsfoi tunc of losing both of his hands, and Is practically helpless help-less as far as manual labor Is concerned and he has a family to support. His condition In every way is of such a character as to bring foith written endorsements from Angus M. Cannon, President of the Salt Lako Stake, and President Joseph F. Smith, which was read in tho Tabernacle last Sunday afternoon asking the people to suppoit this unfoitunatc man by their patronage, patron-age, that he with us "maj lire." Is this not Chrlstlanllke and Is It not woithyof the consideration of a people peo-ple who do profess above all things to bo open handed in buch cases. It Is noticeable that when sldo shows come with a circus and somo broad mouth fellow yelled "i'ie wildman" peorlo i will fall over one another to get in by tho hundreds, and what for' To be skinned of what littlo money thev have. In the Intciest of the unfortu nato man and in accord with the endorsements en-dorsements that ho cariles we feel Justified In asking the people through-out through-out this count, "and elsewhere to consider con-sider tho appeals of this man and his oandltlon, by sending your chlidicn t o his entertainments whero they will be Instructed by short lectures on the moving pictures as thoy pass by. For all such It is written "They shall In no wlsj lose their, reward." KTfriOyftlE nil tiN-.-ii-r'rymtnrim'iri -n |
