J. Collor, station tender, and Charles D. Frlnk woro killed. Tho Injured wero: Mlko Wynn, Con Shay, foreman for tho Qulncy; George Burt, Peter Burt, Mike Wynn, shift boss; Con Shay, Bates Noble, David Coleman, serious; Robert Giles. Ab soon as tho accident happened tho alarm Bprcad rapidly, and In Icsb than half an hour after tho occurronco thoro woro moro rescuers at work at tho Qulncy than wero needed. All work in tho locality was suspended and tho work of roculng tho unfortunates unfortu-nates was pushed energetically. It is not thought that thero aro any more person's covered by the slide. It ls feared, however, that moro slides will take placo soon, and cxcltmont In the city Is great. This Is tho first accident of tho kind that has occurred at Park City slnco March 10, 189G, when four mon wero killed at tho old Daly, which Is located close to tho workings of tho Qulncy. Of tho threo men killed In the slldo only one, K. J. Colter, was mnrrlod. Ho leaves a widow and two small children. chil-dren. Charles D. Frlnk was a substltuto fireman, and was working In tho placo of Charles Whitehead, the regular fireman. fire-man. Ho had Just secured employment at tho mlno, and was working his first shift It Is feared that David Coleman will not survivo his Injuries. |
