S. U. officials. According to reports he was almost a co partner with Simon Ilamberger, nnd tho affair took on the appearance of a collusion with tho Short Lino Interests. Now tho sceno has changed nnd Mr. Crocket unhitches Mr. Wells from tho Short Line caravan, and Irys his Inability to "corao through" at Ihelr door. Well there aro four points In tho controversy and wo can ntiBWer but two. First, was there an attempted collusion between the L. It. T. Co. nnd the Short Wo don't know. Second, was there, and Is thero collusion between tho L. I. T. Co., and the Short Line? Wo don't know, and wo are free to say wo havo not heard cither party say sweet things about the other.
