Average Attendance Approximately Five-Hundred Per Day With tho close of the swine breeders breed-ers session this afternoon tho great annual farmers Roundup and Housekeepers' House-keepers' conference which has come to bo looked upon as tho principal event of tho year In Logan, ns well as throughout tho north end of tho stato and' southern Idah6 will draw to a closo. Tho conference this year has been far and away ahead of tho meetings of former years, both from tho stand point of attendanco and the naturo of tho subjects discussed. Hundreds of visitors from outside points havo come to Logan to take part in tho session and Bpeclal trains from Salt Lake and intormedlato polntB havo characterized the gathering of tho past two weeks. Prominent speakers from Iowa, California, as well as a number of tho chief men In tho federal department depart-ment of agriculture havo taken part In tho discussions and In addition to these sorao of tho best practical farmers, far-mers, engineers, lawyers, general ng-I ng-I ricultural oxperts, editors, educators, H club women and physical culture ox- I ports all contributed their portion to I tho success of tbo great two weeks B gathering. The Housekeepers conference yesterday yes-terday consisted of a four courso lunch discussion by Miss Gertrude McChoyne who Is In chargo of this work for tho Extension Division of the collcgo and whoso untiring labors lab-ors havo been largely responsible for the splendid response which the samo has witnessed, A general discussion dis-cussion on "Entertaining In tho Homo," by Mrs. L. D. Batchetor, and ono of the most interesting features fea-tures of the conferenco was given by Mrs. E. D, Hall in tho form of a round tablo thrown opon to tho discussion dis-cussion of "Tho Child and His Ways" led by Mrs Ball. Later in tho afternoon after-noon Mrs. J ,T. Calne, III gave a demonstration of fancy stitches, slm ply made edges and dainty finishings for garments. In addition lo this Dr. Frederick and big assistants gave a demonstration demonstra-tion early In the evening beforo tho farmers, of a tubercular cow which had been Bccurcd for this special occasion, oc-casion, which proved to be one ot the most Interesting events of the 4f Roundup. Brim-hall, Brim-hall, president ot the Brlgham Young University at Provo, and one ot the best known educators In tho state will address a conjoint meeting ot the housekeepers and farmers ns well as the studont body In tho college col-lege chapel, his subject being "Fifty Years of Utah Education."
