Show NEWTON Newton, Feb. 17. Tho funeral services over the remains of Miss Vera Christensen whoso death occurred occur-red on Thursday last, took place on Sunday at 3 p. m. In the ward meeting house. The hall was filled to Its capacity with friends and relatives rel-atives of tho bereaved family. The opening hymn, "Como Ye Disconsolate," Disconso-late," was sung by the choir. Prayer Pray-er was offered by Elder James F. Hansen. The choir sang "Easter Hopo." Elder John E. Griffin, a llfo tlmo neighbor of the departed, was tho first Bpeaker. He dwelt on tho llfo of Vera, also upon the beauties beau-ties of tho gospel, especially the res urrectlon. Miss Lydla Fonncsbeck of Logan, by special request of the deceased, de-ceased, sang "Tho Rosary" very pathetically. pa-thetically. J. W. Klrkbrldo of Smith field who had been a teacher of Vera's In tbo public schools, paid a glowing trlbuto to tho life of tho departed, de-parted, stating' that the attribute of love was of paramount Importance In tho lives of all and was hers to n marked degree. Edwin W. Fish sang In n feeling manner, "Faco to "Fsco." Dr. L. L. Datnes of the D. Y. C. praised the efforts of Vera as a student In his classes, stating that her work was of a high standard. Commented upon the resurrection and gave hypothetical Illustrations proving that It was possible for Christ to have risen from tho dead. He also offered consolatory words to the bereaved. Prcs. Wood of the B. Y. C. student body spoke a few moments mo-ments and in closing presented resolutions reso-lutions of respect and sympathy from the Third year cIosb of which Vera was n member and as a further mark of respect a largo delegation of the class itself honored her nnd her bereaved be-reaved parents by their prosenco at the funeral service. A vocal duet entitled en-titled Sun of My Soul" was touch-ingly touch-ingly rendered by Mrs. Ciark and Miss Virginia Cox of Logan. Leon Fonncsbeck of Logan spoke of his acquaintance with deceased.
