The aim ot tho dastardly perpptrators, of course, was to terrorize terror-ize Mr. Eccles and his family, especial ly the lady members of It, In tho hope that their not domnnd for money would bo successful. While It Is terrible terr-ible for this family to rest under such a shadow of fear and apprehension as tho members nro bound to do for some tlmo to come, It is to bo hoped that they will not change tho firm nttltudo they havo maintained In tho past, and refuse to he blnckmolled. We have no doubt Mr. Eccles will seo his duty in this regard and feel thnt ho owes It to tho public not to yield, but to con tlnuo in his efforts to run to earth those who are ot tho bottom of tho outrage It Is a question in which every ev-ery ono Is concerned for tho sacred rights of llfo and property must bo protected nnd thoso who .threaten them bo brought to Justice.
