This necessitated her leaving the factory for n few days. Last Thursday Mr. C. L. Punk pur chased n nice herd of registered Hoi-stein Hoi-stein cows from Mr. G. A. Hognn of Lewlston. Mr. Punk Is running ono of tho finest dairy farms In our ceur. Ay. On Saturday a picked team of our down succeeded In beating tho High .School boys In a very closely contested contest-ed game. Johnson succeeded In win-.nlng win-.nlng tho gamo by good passing and pitching. Ho was practically the only on-ly man on tho sldo of tho town team who scored and won the game for I ithem. The High School boys, on ac count of not practicing, did not play .their usual snappy game but plaed very well. Tripp and Merrill were tho stars for tho High School, no man In tho gamo being able to stop Merrill In his excellent guarding and passing. Spectators say that tho High f School team this car Is plalng bet-V bet-V ter and showing tho public better basket ball than ever before. On Saturday noxt It Is expected that the Oneida Stake Academy of Preston will meet our High School team in tho Illchmond Opera House. ' Much Interest is shown In this game and a battle royal Is expected. Mr. Roy Itoblnson is- in a very I critical condition at his mother's 1 home. The nature of his Illness is J not known. |
