Show DEATH OF AN EARLYSETTLER Joseph W. Mnughan, son of Illshop Peter Maughan and Mary Ann Weston Wes-ton Mnughnn, died nt Hyrum nt twel-vo twel-vo o'clock Saturday night. Ho was born In Wisconsin In 1850, and in tho samo year his parents brought him to Utnh and for several years the family fam-ily wero located In Tooele county. In 1850 ho camo with his parents to Cacho Valley with tho first company of pormunont Bcttlers. and has lived In Cacho Vnlloy over since, with tho oxceptlon of a fow jears In Idaho. As a oung man ho participated In many ot tho stirring scenes resulting from Indian troubles ot tho times. Ho Bpont several years freighting on tho Montana road, but was moro wldoly known as a grading contractor contract-or on tho old Utah Northern, Northern North-ern Pacific, and Canadian Pacific railroads. The funeral sorvlcos will bo hold In the Fourth ward mooting houso at two o'clock today.
