Show HYDE PARK HEARS THE MOCKING BIRD Hyde Park, Feb. 4. On Thursday evening, Feb. lot, tbo Smlthfleld Second Sec-ond ward choir presented "Tbo Mocking Dlrd" to a crowded house here. This was one of the most pleasing pleas-ing and appreciated cntortnlnmonts staged here for many years. We have bad many traveling troupes play here, but from the many cxprcs-fm cxprcs-fm slons of appreciation heard tho last If' fow day8 tho people enjoyed It better bet-ter than them all. It was just grand. Well might tho bishopric of Smith-field's Smith-field's Second ward feel proud of their choir, and of those who so ably trained them. All of tho leading parts wero well sustained, ns wero all of tho minor paits. Ono drawback, however, was n lack of sufficient room. Dcttor results could havo been attained had tho stngo been larger. Well done, Smlthfleld, como again. Tho nnnual old folk's reunion will be held In the ball Wednesday, Feb- ruary 7th. A good program Is arranged, arrang-ed, and nn enjoyable time' will bo given tho old people. Thursday, February 1st, Mrs. Eliza Hurren, wife of tho late James Hur-rcn, Hur-rcn, reached her eighty-second mile stone. Several of her children and grand children met at tho home of her daughter Sarah Seamons, and bo-Bides bo-Bides an excellent birthday dinner, had a fine time visiting with grandma. grand-ma. Among thoso present were: Mrs. Mary Wright of Ilrlgham City. Tbcro arc Btlll soveral families quarantined for cblcken pox, which Is of a very sovero type. Mr. Henry Peterson, formerly of Hyde Park, but now of Weston, Idaho, was hero visiting his folks yesterday. Mr. Charles C. Jorgensen, our aged townsman Is qulto sick. Mr. Ezra Seamons is housed up with a bad spell of asthma. |
