MOse had an Idea that some of his friends, especially Mrs. Carlisle, were going to have a surprise on him, So he conllded to some of liU friends he would get the best of Mrs. C. this time by getting up a surprise on her ou Saturday evening, but Mrs. Carllslo Isn't the one to be caught napping. On Friday night a good-sized company gave Mose a genuine surprise, spending spend-ing a few hours hi the early morning of his birthday before leaving for home after spending a most enjoyable evening. Mrs. Martineau's many friends will be pleased to learn that she is recovering recover-ing from her late severe illness. Mrs. Mathews has been suffering lately with rheumatism. Miss Maggie Urittlths made a Hying trip homo Saturday from Cornish to see her mother, who Is down with la grippe. |
