R Lyman has been engaged for some time in checking check checking checking ing up on the names and addresses address s of those in service and is still adding addingto to the list each day In addition to giving all former students recognition on the service flag the University desires desires de desires sires their addresses in iii order to keep keepin in touch with them Instead of placing a star on the service flag for each individual manin manin man manin in service a new system has been adopted which it is believed Is morein more moreIn morein in keeping with the present spirit of ot conservation On the flag there willbe will willbe be but two stars and between these will be placed the number of men in service This system will allow the flag to be made smaller than would be necessary if stars were used excluSively exclusively exclusively ex ex- and it will not have to be be- enlarged as more and more men go into service As the number increases the figures between the two stars willbe wilbe will wil willbe be changed It is estimated that a flag thirty-six thirty feet long would be necessary under the other method |
