WELLSV1LLE, Nov. 22, 1000. -The play by the Wcllsvlllc Dramatic company Thursday night, tho 15th, was a' completp sticvcis, if It had not been .for tho lack of scenery. The playing was as good as any. of the traveling trav-eling troupes that visit our city. There Is talk of having the stage remodeled re-modeled and some new scenery painted. paint-ed. We look for the company to give us some good plays through the winter months. On Thuisday the 15th, Hrlgham Maughan and wife and Mrs. Mary Henary wcnt to Richmond. While Micro they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ilyrum Hair,, son-in-law and daughter of Mrs. Hendry, and had a most enjovable tlrte. Mr. Maughan says they visited the condensed milk factory and they also took In the grand masquorado ball given by the Sunday school for the hcnelltof the Richmond tabernacle, where everything went olT nicely. -k On Satuiday night Mr. and Mrs. George Spence gave an enjoyable social so-cial at their home in honor of Elders William Hrenchlcy, brother of Mrs Spence, and Daniel A. Lclshman, who leave next Monday to till a mission In Europe. Sixty people sat down to a bounteous repast., and a very pleasant evening was spent. Mr. Fred (J. Hiadshaw and Miss Florence Lcalham were married In the Logan temple yesterday. A swell wedding reception was given at the Hradshaw homo last night, at which a great many people were present. The newly married couple were the happy recipients of many uscful'and costly presents. Cards arc out announcing the marriage mar-riage of Mr. Charles L. Ii. Ames, of Wellsville, and Miss Sarah Salvescn, of Ilyrum, which will take place In the Logan temple on the 28th. Last Sunday evening In tho Sunday school meeting Assistant Supt. .lames A. Lclshman delivered a lecture, subject: sub-ject: "Necessity of Hevelatlon," and handled his subject In a masterly manner. Mrs. Jane Satterlleld returned to her home at Hlackfoot, Idaho, after spending two weeks with her many friends and relatives In our city. Mr. Joseph Lclshman and wife of Cardston, Canada, aro here visiting their many friends and relatives. |
