H Connected therewith Is the Ladles' B Auxiliary of the Manufacturers and B Merchants Association, which is en- wL deavoring to extend the market for m home manufactures and home pro- If ducts In gcheral, m Many of our products are of tho first m rank and deserve to be more widely m known and used. The Ladles' Auxllary was organized on January 10, liHW and has made very great progress. At present there are over one thousand members and the role Is being dally augmented. Headquarters have been established through tho courtesy of the Keith-O'Urlen Keith-O'Urlen store company In their store at Salt Lake City, where the ladles are collecting an exhibit of all Utah manufactured man-ufactured goods In which women take an Interest, but more especially all articles ar-ticles of household use and decoration and all kinds of food stuffs. All Utah manufacturers are Invited to send a small exhibit to the ladles headquarters. Tlicro Is no charge for space, the only restriction being that every exhibitor must be a member of the Manufacturers and Merchants Association of Utah. A lady is constantly In charge to point out the art merltsof all exhibits to tho ladles who call dally, A rest room Is a feature of the headquarters. head-quarters. All of the ladles of the State are Invited In-vited to call and make use of it and see the cxhIUts. Ono part of the work of the ladles Is of especial value to the manufacturers manufactur-ers of tho State and the consumers of their products. They Issue Labels. This Is tho issuance of the M. & M. Assoliatlon label to all articles of food and household use. This label which recommends all goods upon which It Is plawd as pure and worthy of patronage, patron-age, will bo Issued to all Utah manufacturers' manu-facturers' on all food products which after chemical analysis and practical demonstration meet all tho require ments of tho Dairy and Food Laws of Utah. The goods thus analyzed aro to. be purchased In tho optn market the expense Incurred In the purchase and analysis being borne by the manufacturer, manufact-urer, who, through the Auxiliary, wilt secure a special rate not ordinarily made for this class of work. Payment is to be made Into the treasury of the Auxiliary which has engaged a chemist of the lirst rank and thi! highest reputation to make all analysis. The Integrity of fifteen or Salt Lake's good women will stand back of every label Issued through their board, and It will be a recommendation recommenda-tion of the highest character. Every possible means will be employed em-ployed by the ladles to safeguard the use of the label. Any misuscof It will be communicated to all members of the association, and the Auxiliary as well as tho public that Is, If any article arti-cle Is found bearing the label without proper authority, if the artlclo after recommendation is adulterated or In any way mado impure or Inferior, the right to tho use of the label will be revoked. re-voked. A certificate will be Issued to the manufacturers for each article approved, ap-proved, conferring tho right to use the M. & M. Association label upon it, a duplicate copy being tiled with the State Dairy and Food Commissioner. Commis-sioner. Any manufacturer desiring the label who Is, or becomes a member of the M. & M. Send as soon as possible for space assignment as-signment as the room is being rapidly taken. Wants Members. Tno Auxiliary hopes that all tho women of the State will join In making mak-ing Utah's Industries prosperous by' becoming a member of the Ladles' Auxiliaiy. A membership consists only In signing sign-ing the following pledge: "We the undersigned, hereby express our desire to be enrolled as honorary members of the Ladles' Auxiliary of tho Manufacturers and Merchants Association As-sociation of Utah, Incor; orated. 'We hereby pledge ourselves to patronize pa-tronize home institutions in preference prefer-ence to outside business houses whenever when-ever possible and to promote the use of home-made goods whenever and wherever possible, and with the price and quality being equal, to purchase goods manufactured In The factories of this State In preference to Imported goods when possible."
