She was a most devoted de-voted Latter-day Saint, and lived up to all the commandments command-ments of God. She was a worthy wor-thy companion for a manly Godfearing God-fearing leader, and their posterity poster-ity might well emulate them in, word and do d. She lived but! to bless and comfort those around her. Elder Thatcher's address was a beautiful and eloquent elo-quent effort and moved many o.p those present to emotion. Elder J. M. Tanner said he had known the deceased many years and had come, to feel the respect and reverence for her which a son might feel feel for a mother. None could know her and not realize the beauty and generosity cf her character and disposition. Twelve years ago she asked me to be present and speak at her funeral and that -wish was to me sacred. She passed through many trials for the sake of the gospel and her love for God's work but increased in-creased as the ordeals became more severe. Her life was devoted de-voted to good deeds, kind words and noble self sacrifices. She waa iree irom guue, ana uvea a life as perfectas mortality makes possible. She has gone to a rich reward, and the memory of her brave and useful lifa is r blessing to her posterity. No hardship or sacrifice was too great for her if it was undergone under-gone or made for what she considered con-sidered to be Gcd's will. The choir sang 'a beautiful anthem and the benediction was pronounced by Bishop B. M. Lewis. |
