Show Sietv Comptroller of Currency. President Roosevelt, In conformity with his policy to carry out as far as possible the plans of President McKinley, McKin-ley, has appointed W. B. Ridgely, of Illinois, Il-linois, as Comptroller of the Currency. Mr. Ridgely, who is the son-in-la ' II flip WILLIAM BARRET RIDGELT of Senator Cullom, was the choice of the late President for the post made vacant on October 1 by the retirement of Charles G. Dawes. In fact, the commission com-mission was signed by Mr. McKinley Just before the Journey to Buffalo but formal announcement of the appointment appoint-ment was delayed. |
