Show Pittsburgh Touches France. War orphans and other needy children chil-dren of France are made self-supporting and nt the same time restored to health at the Pittsburgh Farm school ot Fontnlneroux, France. The school was established through the donation of $42,000 by the public school children chil-dren of Pittsburgh. A three-year courso In agriculture Is offered. The Pittsburgh Junior Red Cross has appropriated ap-propriated $10,000 to uld In the erection erec-tion of dormitories housing CO children chil-dren of this school. Fifteen other agricultural schools In Franco have received contributions from the Junior American Red Cross, biost of the money being devoted to Improvement of the living quarters of tho students. These schools are mainly main-ly supported by tho French government, govern-ment, and teach scientific farming nnd common-school branches to boys of twelve to seventeen years, who would otherwlso havo to enter workshops aud factories. |
