As a result of tho accident ho Is now In the hospital suffering with a fractured shoulder, five broken ribs, a cut on the head and badly brulsod hand and somo Intornal injuries. At tho tlmo of tho accident it was feared tho Injuries, especially tho Internal In-ternal ones, might provo fatal, but reports yesterday were that ho was rapidly recovorlng nnd was now out of danger. Intornal bleeding had stopped nnd no serious complications was oxpoctod to result from this sonrco. His fractures aro yet pafntul but bavo commenced to knit. Mr. Southwick was assisting in threshing nt tho farm southeast of town when tho accident occurred. A team hitched to tho wagon started up and tho rack pulled Mr. Southwick between be-tween It and tho silo, crushing his body as It rolled him botweon tho silo and rack.
