HIGH SCHOOL NOTES I A student body meeting wns culled to nominate tho officers for next ycnr, It was made plain by rousing speeches from tho Sophomores that the lost constitution should bo found or n now ono drawn up, before tho nomination nomina-tion could proceed. Accordingly, the nomination was put off for a few days. Out the old constitution which had been lost a year, was found In the jnfe enro of n stack of algebra books. (Wonderful how algebra will put lt-solf lt-solf in ubo when no one will use. It.) Tho officers wore nominated lust weok and elected today, and will bo voted., on next Friday. Tim Sophomores challenged the Juniors to n track meet, to which tho Juniors gladly accepted. . There aro about soventy-llvo of the High School students Interning to attend the county track meot nt Spnn- ish Fork Friday, May 1. Pleasant Grove hopes to return with Its share of the trophies. The Junior and Seniors worked wllh the grade children last Tuesday 1" cleaning up tho grounds and streets around the school houses. A wonderful wonder-ful Improvement wns ninde. In the "Interclass track meet" the Seniors won with a score of nlmost two to one. Juniors won second place Sophomores third and Freshmen Fresh-men fourth. m The Sophomore dramatic club played play-ed "All of u Sudden Peggy," last Friday Fri-day afternoon and evening . In the Opern House. Tho met with great success so took the play to Llndon Saturday night. Tho first year domestic science girls chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Itlchnrd-soii Itlchnrd-soii and .Miss Hopkins, enjoyed n trip to (Jeneve Tuesday. They spent tho afternoon in boat riding nnd playing hall after which an elaborate luncheon lunch-eon was served. |
