Show Town Damaged by Flood. Jackson. Neb. At 7:30 o'clock Sun day morning water from a cloudburst In the northwestern part of Dakota county and the onstern part of Dixon county rushed down the valley of Elk creek, sweeping awny hundreds of tons of hay, drowning hogs caught In pens, flooding cellars, washing nway railroad rail-road tracks, and doing other damage, all of which Is conservatively estimated esti-mated at $100,000. The wave of water wa-ter In tho creek when It struck this town was seven feet high. |
