Major Slme and two Companies of the California regiment wcro dispatched by water to tho scene of tho disturbance and Colonel Duboce tied two other companies of troops werenseut overland. On April 2 this forco marched twelva miles and captured cap-tured Labzlb, the headquarters .nf the bandits, and destroyed tho town. Tiio" troops also captured thirty-five prisoners prison-ers nnd scattered Pnpasslo's forces, thus effectually quelling tho rebellion at tho outset. |
