Show Choir Contest. The contest at the Eiitsddfod in which the Lehi choir took part occurred occur-red at tho Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, Wednesday evening. The first prizo was awardod to tho Tooele choir', and Lehi wnB given second prize. The only difference between tho Tooelo choir's performance and that of our choir waa in tho time, the Lehi choir being slow.. After tho content It waB found that four of Salt Lakos profesional Bingers had aided the Tooelo choir and accordingly Prof. Becsley contested tho award. By a unanimous vote of the Cambrian association as-sociation and with the approval of tho adjudicator, Dr Parr, the award was changed, Lehi choir receiving first prize and tho second prize going to the Preston, Idaho, choir. The choir is considering the practicability of giving a concert at which they will give the song which was performed at the contest, and may arrange for such an event in the near futuro. i |
