Show M. I. A. Excursion, Saturday was a very pleasant day and a number laid aside their work and went on the M, I. A excursion to Becks. There were but few over in tho the morning but in the afternoon many more went over mating quito a large crowd. Many took advantage of tho boating and bathing. Because of the ball grounds being so far away tho sports were not pulled off as advertised which was a disppointment to eomo. The silver band was present ond enlivened en-livened the ciowd by playing a number of selections. Tho floor of the new puvillion had been laid and in the evening even-ing the first dance was given on it, the Srnuin band furnishing the music. This continued until about 11 p. in. when a strong wind begnn and tho dancing had to stop and the crowd left for Lclii. |
