Yesterday a game of ball was played at the lake between the members of the Lehi clubs, the kids playing tbe older boys. It was an interesting game and drew quite a large crowd. Tho young boya did the best playing and led the score all through the game. A, O. Pearson was umpiro and saw that a fair game was played . The was a large attendance at tho graduating exercises at the Now West academy on Wednesday night. The room had been artistically decorated for the occasion giving it a very pleasing appearance. Tho program was very interesting and inBtructheund was ably rendered. Active preparations aro being made for a celebration of July 4th at Castella Springs whero tho Utah Press Association Associ-ation will hold forth. A splondid program and an attractive list of sporting sport-ing ovunts will bo given and a largo crowd will doubtless bo in attendance, as rates will be given on tho railroad. |
