Show Nearly all- the states in the sugar beet belt are turning their eyes towards this industry and milch experimental work is being done. From all such states comes the reports of what the state experiment ex-periment stations are doing and some have sent oul feome' splendid bulletinsJon the growing 'of beets. In our own state where the industry in-dustry has made such a stride we find absolutely nothing from our experiment station; what has been done "has been by men brave enough to go into the industry indus-try without such experimental work to guide them. They have not done all yet and there is still time for our station to do some good for our farmers in this line. A branch station should be established in the beet growing district and the usual experiment work done so the farmers can gtt the benefit of this scientific work. - t,. Those interested in such an important im-portant industry surely have a right'to ask this. |
