They have no special organi .xation but meet and talk on the Bible -Wo received an invitation to come and talk to them in tho afternoon and oven ing. We had - to walkabout 3 miles' On our arrival we were invited up to rthe.land and told by tiie president tiiat .thtwo services were entirely in our -hands. During tho week previous they I .'.advertised that there would be some 4 , Mormon Elders to talk in the chape: ) "u next Sunday and said tho subjects would be, "Lift) among the .Mormons," in the .afternoon and "What is Mormonism" an the evening so the people knew what j they were going to listen to. Wo found 'the house nearly full in tho afternoon. We took charge of the singing and I everything and the three of us occupied -the time. In the evening the house was full and I tell you they got Mormonism J straight from each of us. After the 1 meeting was dismissed they all tat lown and seemed as though thy were jiot going to leave. Three or four wanted to ask us questions and the president . .ask us if we would not give them , ' " tanother short sermon in answering the t questions, and na they insisted we each . t apoke again in a briet way for about ten - ,',tJ, . , , minutes. After this nearly the whole -where they were ,lo'BhakSnSlmB,vull,' ue, young and old alike. One old lady .came Xo me with tenia in her eyes and said, '"I know you have told the truth." .Nearly a 1 of them made simihar re. aiarks. Young ladies ot 20 who usually -are nearly Haired to death to s)iake hands with a Mormon cum; and gave us -a good hearty shake. It. was a peculiar , -occurancc in my life and was a second JPcnticost day. We had to promise to .treturn in the near fature. This is what 4 'gives us great encouragement. There is ' not room or 1 could li'l three or four 3ages about these two meetings. It wee a tirr.e of rejoicing for ua and we expect to see good come out; of it. |
